Lorenzo Garrido named MCDH Employee of the Quarter

Lorenzo Garrido, Spring 2006 Employee of the Quarter.

Lorenzo Garrido was awarded the Employee of the Quarter for the April-June spring quarter.  Garrido is a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Swing Bed unit, and has worked at MCDH since December 2004.  He was nominated for the honor by no fewer than 38 of his co-workers from 8 different departments.

Garrido is described by his co-workers as 100% consistent in his gentle and tender treatment of patients.  He is known to be hard-working, kind and considerate to all patients and staff.  In addition, he is a team player, responds quickly, and is flexible, polite and efficient.  He loves his job, and it shows.

MCDH is honored to have employees like Garrido serving the community.  The Employee of the Quarter is selected from nominations submitted by hospital employees, medical staff, volunteers and patients. Honorees are rewarded with their photo in the Hall of Fame and their name engraved on a plaque, a certificate, a check for $150, a prime parking space for a quarter, and are in the running for Employee of the Year award.
